CFC membership and CCC membership required and all players must pay their memberships prior to round 1.
Games for both sections start at 7:15pm for all rounds!

Prize Fund
The winner will receive a travel voucher in the amount of $400 to be used for travel and expenses to the chess tournament of their choice (conditions apply).
Cash Prizes will also be given out (sum of entries less 20%)
Time Control: Game in 90 + 30 second increment
No byes allowed
Top boards will be broadcast on this website!
Entry: $30
We will take the top 8 pre-registered players by February 19th using the CFC rating list of February 15th. The highest of CFC and FIDE ratings will be used to determine the players ranking. The final 8 players will be listed here by February 20th at the latest. The drawing of lots will be done by random in SwissSys and the pairings will be posted here by February 20th at the latest.
All other players will be seeded into the Calgary Reserves.

Prize Fund: $200 + sum of entries less 20%
Guaranteed first prize of $200!
Section prizes will also be available (TBD)
Time Control: Game in 90 + 30 second increment
Entry: $30
A maximum of 2 half point byes available in the first 5 rounds
Registration
Register on any Tuesday/Thursday evening or Saturday afternoons at the club. Pay by cash or cheque (payable to the Calgary Chess Club). You can renew your CFC and CCC membership at the same time. Registrations for the Closed will be determined by February 19th. You can register for the Reserves as late as March 6th (with 2 half point byes). You may pre-register by email but your registration must be paid no later than February 19th for the Closed section or by February 21st for the Reserve section (except for late registrations who do not play in the first or second round). Email fekluytmans@gmail.com to get on the list.
