CCC Public Open House

A new attendance record was set today for Friday Public Open House with 36 players showing up for some Friday the 13th chess fun. Most players were brand new to the club with many deciding to see what the Calgary chess club is all about. Quite a few took up chess only recently. A handful only barely knew the rules. And yet they all showed up to play chess at the CCC. As usual, few players decided to become new CCC members on the spot. It didn’t hurt to have 2 mouth watering pizzas on the premises to make sure no one played on an empty stomach 😊
