This Tournament will be held at the Sheraton Hotel as part of the 16th Calgary International Chess Tournament.
Dates: August 4th, 2025 Opening announcements and check-in: 4:45 pm
Start: 5 pm (Expected to take 2-3 hours).

Purchase of Entry Fees may be made:
via the website https://CalgaryChess.com/CCC/Events, or
Registering with the TDs directly during the tournament with
CFC Membership: Required, but CCC does not accept payments for CFC. If necessary, join/renew CFC membership online at https://www.chess.ca/en/players/membership-join/. The annual fee is Adult $43, Junior $28. Alternatively, a CFC single-tournament membership is Adult $20, Junior $10.
If a Player joined or renewed at CFC in the previous 10 days, TD may require proof (e.g., screenprint).
Byes: Up to three half point byes are allowed for rounds 1-6. Byes must be requested before the start of
the event or at least two rounds ahead. For example, a round 5 bye request must be made before
round 4 pairings are made.
Fair-play rules: Players may not have any electronic devices on them during play. Electronic devices
include but are not limited to: mobile phones, watches, airpods, etc… Medical devices are allowed with
approval of the TD. If such a device is found on a player the minimum penalty will be loss of a game.
Electronic devices may be stored in a bag which the player will not touch during the game.
